Hello! My name is Mary Porter and I’m a sophomore at UW Oshkosh majoring in Nursing.
Oshkosh has become my home and an extension of my family. Each day here is another opportunity for me to connect with new people, and there is no place better than campus to foster these relationships!
Much of my time is spent like any typical college student, hustling to classes, meeting with professors and studying in the library. Despite my busy schedule, I still find plenty of time to do the things I enjoy. When I’m not in class or working in the Admissions Office as a student ambassador, you can find me volunteering with campus ministries, running along the beautiful Fox River, or relaxing with my friends!
The transition from high school to college is filled with many tough decisions and thankfully I had a great support system to help me along the way. I knew from day one of my freshmen year that UWO was the perfect fit for me; I hope to help other students find that same feeling of acceptance and assurance!
Don’t hesitate to contact me via my Facebook page, Mary at UWO, with any questions, concerns, or comments! There is no such thing as an insignificant question and I will do my best to provide you with the information you need!
