Hello everyone! My name is Alissa and I am a junior at UW Oshkosh studying Secondary English Education.
Transitioning from a high school class of 49 students to the third largest University in Wisconsin was initially overwhelming. However, after three short weeks I had joined campus organizations, made exciting friends, and was beginning to make UW Oshkosh my new home.
After one semester of being a business major, I realized I wanted to go into teaching and declared my current major in education. Teachers help raise our nation’s future generations and I am honored and eager to contribute to the educational system.
When I am not studying, working in the Admissions Office, or completing placements at local schools, I enjoy singing for weddings, visiting my family, reading books, mentoring young adolescents, and attempting to extreme coupon shop with friends. I am also a member of the Student Wisconsin Educator Association and the UW Oshkosh Newman Center.
